Personal Overview

I try to live life to the fullest wile making a difference in my community. In addition to being a corporate strategy advisor, I am also a:

  • Very lucky husband and proud father of two.
  • Avocational photographer.
  • Mountain bike rider, racer, and head coach.
  • Skier and snowboarder.
  • Eagle scout who still camps 45+ nights each year, including bikepacking, backpacking, and RV camping.
  • Humanitarian dedicated to regular volunteering within my local community and creating profits with a purpose.

Mountain Biking

My MTB journey started out with a few hiccups, including a broken collarbone and DNF (did not finish) at my first race. Thankfully, I have learned from those initial mistakes, as seen in this photo where I “hit the kicker” at the 24 Hours in the Old Pueblo race. My favorite aspect of mountain biking is the ability to quickly ride far away from the trailhead and explore the serenity of nature.

Mile High Cycling

I founded this middle school cycling team for the public school district of Prescott, Arizona in 2022 and currently serve as head coach. Our group includes:

  • 36 student-athletes and 20+ volunteer coaches.
  • Interscholastic, competitive racing and recreational riders.
  • Skills clinics and bike games, trail rides, and special events like “Friday Night Lights” and “Ice Bucket Challenge.”
  • Monthly “Lady Badgers” events to encourage our female students, who currently represent an astounding 46% of the team.

Our team motto is “ride fast, don’t crash, go Badgers!”

Camping

I started camping as a child with my dad in Cub Scouts. This later turned into becoming an Eagle Scout and continues into adulthood with 45+ nights each year spend backpacking, bikepacking, or RV camping, usually doing so with my children.

Fly Fishing

Hanging on the wall right next to my desk is a display case containing the fly rods used by my father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather. I try not to embarrass the family name when going out on the water while also passing along the tradition of both fishing and fly tying to my two children.

Skier & Snowboarder

I fell in love with snowsports after watching my first Warren Miller film in 1998 and deciding to drive to Breckenridge, Colorado that same night with friends from the University of Kansas. My wife and I were fortunate enough to move to Steamboat Springs in 2007 and raise two children there until 2017.

Husband & Father

The most important and enjoyable aspect of my life is being a lucky husband and proud father to my family. I am thankful to be able to enjoy many of the above hobbies with my wife and kids while also having built a career that allows us to spend significant and quality time together.

For over three decades, I have been blessed with the ability to:
