Proud dad after my recently turned 14-year old son

Proud dad after my recently turned 14-year old son finished the @whiskeyoffroad 30-proof in just under 2.5 hours. He trained hard, all on his own, these past couple of weeks to catch up after a wet winter presented limited riding opps. And then he woke up early the very next morning to volunteer at a ride for the younger kids (middle of final pic).

Just finished uploading all of my photo galleries

Just finished uploading all of my photo galleries for the past 15 years to scottbideauphotography.com. What started out as a backup redundancy exercise brought back so many great memories of the amazing experiences my camera has introduced me to. Things like a quest to photograph the #kansascity cityscape before moving to Steamboat, visiting some of the most beautiful landscapes in the west before they got spoiled by #Instagram, going behind the scenes with charities to see how they plan and deliver their amazing works, events like @help_portrait, and even some plain ol' fun just experimenting with the camera and lighting alongside random people drinking whisky in the middle of a bike race! Not everything is public due to privacy concerns with projects like children in school, but I do hope you enjoy seeing 75+ galleries covering some of the amazing things this world has going on as a welcome contrast to the constant doom and gloom shown by most media outlets.

My 13-year old son fulfilled his dream of riding a

My 13-year old son fulfilled his dream of riding a wheelie across the finish line w/o any rules prohibiting him from doing so at yesterday’s race. He also got up on the podium at 2nd place while creating a new friendship with the 1st place winner. @krankcyclesmaui well represented at this winter’s races - his favorite riding shirt!

Huge thanks to my #24hop photog assistant, who is also my son and spent 96 hours with me in 24 Hour Town. He helped setup camp for just over a dozen veterans racing the event. He looked out for riders from the crest of a hill so that I knew when to shoot. He also helped keep a visual ID on my drone in a location where many were flying a bit haphazardly. Lots of patience…possibly because I promised to take him to a couple nearby jump spots in exchange for his help :) Between assisting me, he must’ve gotten at least 12 hours of wheelie practice and more Dough Bros pizzas than we can count…so quite a nice little weekend for both of us! Next time you see him at an @epicrides event, he will be racing the #whiskeyoffroad home course. He is also already recruiting a team for next year’s 24 Hours in the Old Pueblo!

Derek Murrow is racing the "24 Hours in the Old Pueblo" to raise money and awareness for the Veteran's Outdoor Advocacy Group (@voag_official), a charity that enables access to outdoor adjunct therapies for all veterans in need. When not racing a 16-mile lap day and night, he is also making a video documentary of the veterans racing alongside him.

We pulled into @wolfcreekski right after a 24" storm. Not only was there still plenty of powder left over, it continued to snow 40" over the next four days of skiing and snowboarding. Despite a decent collection of Griswold family-like travel issues, it still felt like the Grail Knight was whispering, "you choose wisely" on those vacation dates!

Woke up to no heat/electric, shoveled out of a long driveway thanks to MIA plow service, swung into town for a new windshield wiper after the old one flew off on the highway, and then finally got on the hill about an hour after 1st chair. Thankfully, the folks at @wolfcreekski saved some good snow for us.
