Profits with a Purpose

I strive to make a positive difference in my local community and beyond. For over three decades, I have consistently,

The income I earn from my clients combined with the flexibility my consulting business provides enables this strategy – and for that, I am very grateful!

“For it is in giving that we receive.”

– Prayer of Saint Francis

I was honored to found the Help Portrait Steamboat Springs chapter (shown here) and also served as the benefactor from 2012 through 2016. I later founded Help Portrait Prescott and am the beneactor for each annual event gathering volunteer photographers, hair and makeup artists, Photoshop and printing specialists, and other assistants to provide individuals and families in need with a free portrait session that ends with a free, framed print.

Habitat for Humanity

I first volunteered with Habitat for Humanity while attending the University of Kansas. I soon became Vice President of that local college chapter, including organizing a spring break trip for undergraduate students to build houses in Texas. Habitat for Humanity has been a regular recipient of my #profitswithapurpose approach, including sponsoring a community-wide Builders Blitz.

Cherry Street Youth Center

Immediately after starting my business, Cephas Innovation, in 1994, I partnered with my first two clients, RV manufacturer Nu-Wa Industries and internet service provider Nautilus, to donate 15 computers for the children of Cherry Street Youth Center alongside free Internet access.

Cans for the Community

My business, Cephas Innovation, has provided pro-bono web design services and donated all web hosting fees for Cans for the Community since 2005. This awesome charity in Lawrence, Kansas has raised over $200,000 for other charities.

So much fun with so many charities
